Audiovisual interactives designed to guide visitors on an imaginary journey through the centuries, showcasing Baghdad’s legacy as a hub of power, scholarship, and wealth.
Espai Visual commissioned us to contribute to the Baghdad: Eye’s Delight exhibition at the Museum of Islamic Art in Doha. In close collaboration with them, we developed two distinct and immersive interactive installations that brought the rich history and culture of Baghdad to life for visitors.
The first installation was a projection-mapped model of Baghdad, which allowed visitors to engage with the city’s history in a dynamic and visually captivating way. By interacting with a touchscreen, visitors could navigate through different periods of the city’s past, discovering key events, landmarks, and stories that shaped Baghdad’s significance as a cultural and intellectual hub.
The second installation featured a recreated vintage radio, designed to transport visitors back in time to experience the sounds of the old city. This interactive piece allowed visitors to immerse themselves in the atmosphere of Baghdad, listening to authentic sounds that evoked the city’s vibrant history, from its bustling streets to its rich cultural traditions.
Both installations were carefully designed to enhance the exhibition experience, providing an engaging and educational journey for visitors exploring the fascinating history of Baghdad.
